Toner Cartridge Terminology
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Toner Cartridges – these are manufactured by (and sometimes for) the original manufacturer of the Laser Printer. The OEM cartridge is typically the most expensive cartridge supply you can purchase.
These cartridges are manufactured from OEM cartridges with new parts installed to replace the worn parts. The compatible cartridge is the lower-cost alternative to use in your printers. Most compatible cartridges from a reputable supplier are manufactured to similar standards used by the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Compatible toners and inks are typically 30% to as much as 50% cheaper than OEM supplies.

Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) Check Printing
Need to print checks? Look no further than Alpha Laser. Every single MICR toner cartridge that we offer is built to exacting standards and backed by our Factory Authorized Repair Technicians.
The MICR cartridge is filled with a special toner powder designed specifically for check printing. MICR toners print the bank routing number, account number and check number on a check (also known as the “MICR line”) offering security to both the consumer and their banking institution. The MICR toner formula works jointly with a specialized MICR font known as E-13B to produce a unique combination of characters on your check, reducing the risk of fraud during the check-processing period.
